Rescue Me ID: 14-03-07-00244Patch (male)
Patch's family has been displaced due to the loss of employment leaving Patch displaced. The relatives that have taken the family in will not allow Patch on the property due to the pitbull stigma. Currently, Patch's human mom is sleeping in the car with Patch to keep him safe until he can find a forever family to adopt. Patch is very good with children of all ages, especially babies. He loves puppies and will try to 'mother' them. He adores and tolerant of small dogs. Although, he can be somewhat aggressive with 'some' larger dogs and animals. He is very well behaved, potty trained and knows basic commands. Love to play fetch and hide-n-seek. He has been primarily an indoor dog. Loves to cuddle and does not chew. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-04-00212Cece (female)
Meet Cece! Cece is a Mastiff/Bernard Mix who is looking for her forever home! Cece was surrendered to us after she had a litter of puppies and her previous owner realized they needed help for her. She successfully took care of 7 puppies and is now ready for a home of her own where she can finally be taken care of, instead of taking care of others. Cece is a little over 80 pounds and still needs to gain some more weight. She will be a very big dog and will require someone who is OK with that. She is a little shy at first but is a total sweetheart. Cece will come up to date on her vaccinations (including rabies), spayed, microchipped and vet checked. If you would like to meet Cece please send us an email for an adoption application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-01-18-00033Ciara (female)
Ciara (pronounced Kira) is a very sweet and cuddly girl. She is a snuggle buddy and couch potato while still being playful. She loves to play with toys, bones and tennis balls. When she's playing in the back yard she almost always has some sort of toy in her mouth. She bonds well with new people and likes to play with her foster brother and sisters. She would do best in a home without any small dogs or cats as she plays too rough for them. She is kennel trained as long as the kennel is constructed well. If not, she can find her way out of the kennel if it is not strong enough. She hasn't shown to be destructive and learns quickly. She does need more leash training as she pulls but is showing improvement. She would do best in a home with older children just because of her size. When she's excited she likes to jump up and could unintentionally knock down smaller children. Ciara is spayed, up to date on her shots, housebroken and kennel trained. Please open your home and your heart to this very deserving girl. Energy Level: Average Temperament: Somewhat Dominant Food Aggression: No Resource Guarding: Yes Ciara has been exposed to: Large Dogs Ciara is good with: Large Dogs Human Compatibility: Good with Adults and Kids Dog Selective/Animal Aggressive: No Dog Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs Cat Compatibility: Compatibility Unknown Crate Trained: Yes Housebroken: Yes *Whenever an animal changes environments, there may be a few days of accidents as they adjust to their new home. |Rescue Me ID: 14-01-18-00017Napoleon (male)|
Napoleon is a big handsome boy who loves to play fetch! He will play for hours on end! He is about 100lbs and is one solid boy. He will need an experienced owner. One who is familiar with his breed traits and at times stubborn nature. He is highly dog selective and does not do well around other male dogs. He has been around large female dogs but we feel Napoleon will do best as the only dog in the home. He has not been exposed to cats but has show a strong prey drive so a home with no cats would be recommended. He loves to go for walks and would make a great hiking partner (always on leash). Napoleon is neutered, up to date on shots and kennel trained. He is housebroken but will mark his territory at first which is common in male dogs. Please consider opening up your home and heart to this handsome boy! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-12-31-00165CLAY (male)
Clay is a gorgeous Mastiff mix. he is approximately $100 lbs. He gets along w female dogs no problem. He needs to be introduced properly with males. He is a LOVE BUG! Loves to snuggle. He talks to you when you get home or when he is excited to be fed... LOVES food! He does have an allergy to something in store brand foods. I buy him Grain-Free ($30.00 at Costco) and his skin doesn't break out in hives any more. He is Neutered. Loves walks and does great on a leash. Loves car rides. He is overall just a sweet boy who sometimes doesn't realize his size. He is great w little dogs as well. Children... I would recommend older only because he has a tendency to jump up when excited and he is a BIG DUDE! I have had him w/ me for about 4 months now so I know him well. If you have any questions or would like to meet CLAY let me know. He is on the right in the picture. Potty trained, dog door trained. (Less)

Animal ID: A1422538 Stevie (male)
'Stevie' a 1 year old Great Dane / Mastiff Mix = 'Daniff'. I am a 100 lb+ lapdog and will probably get bigger. I am a very smart and loving dog - at the same time I am a huge goof and BIG puppy! Great dog very sweet. Please contact my Foster parents Gary and Judy if interested (619) 890 4210 text or call or email: email@example.com More about 'Stevie': - Stevie is a SUPER sweet and EXTREMELY handsome dog. He was found as a stray so there is no known history. I just returned from an out of town trip where we had a house FULL of people (all adults). He loved everyone he met immediately and just wanted everyone to give him loving. He has been affectionate with all adults: females, males, senior citizens, bearded men, big men.... he loves everyone I have tested him with. ---- I have not seen him around children so cannot say how he will act. I would be surprised if he was anything but loving toward children but he is a big boy and doesn't know how big he is yet. Playtime might be too rough for very small children just based on his size. - I have 2 dogs of my own that Stevie is housed with (Great Dane and elderly Rottweiler/Shepherd) and he has met a large English Mastiff. Stevie loves playtime with other dogs. I have not tested him with dogs smaller than 70 lbs. He does not know his own strength so I would be wary of unsupervised play with dogs smaller than him. All supervised play I have seen has been great. Stevie can play pretty rough but will listen when you tell him to be gentle or to stop playing. ---- The elderly Rottweiler/Shepherd mix has started 2 fights with Stevie and has lost both times. I stopped it both times so do not know how far it would have gone. When the Rottweiler/Shepherd is not guarding his food or something else they get along fine. They even have fun playing together. ---- Stevie is not food aggressive with humans or other dogs. I have moved his bowl while he was eating and he has never been aggressive. ---- Training: Stevie is fully potty trained. He knows 'Sit', 'Down', 'Come', 'No', 'Blanket' (go lay on your bed), 'Good Boy!', will come if you can whistle. He is very eager to please and responds best to positive reinforcement. He is extremely smart and impresses me daily with what he is learning. When it is time to eat he sits before I tell him to do so..... even sits between scoops of biscuits. He is still a puppy and likes to chew a little bit (but not nearly as much as other puppies I have had). He has a big rope I give him to play with and he seems to like that. If allowed, he would like to snuggle with you on the sofa or on the bed. I have not walked him much but was excellent when walking with my dogs (better than my dogs). I have had him on a leash by himself and he has been excited and pulled. He is extremely strong. He has a training collar and often responds to the tone (sound) or vibrate when pulling on the leash. He learns quickly and when I walked him and my other dogs together yesterday he walked with slack in the leash, even when a person walked past us. Energy Level: Stevie is pretty lazy for a puppy (large breeds are typically pretty lazy). He is pretty sedate most of the time and just lazes around. He likes to play but it doesn't last all day like with some puppies. He likes to play tug, wrestle, play chase or be chased. He is a super sweet guy and deserves a loving home where he will get lots of cuddles and love. He would be very sad to be an outdoor dog only. He is a big guy and has grown in the short time I have had him. He might not get much taller at this age but I would expect him to gain weight as he gets older. He is a great looking dog. Everyone he has met says so. His coat extremely short and has a glossy shine. It is very soft and smooth. He is all black with a touch of white on his chest and hazel eyes. In the sun his black coat has almost an orange-brown undertone. Stevie is a sweet guy and needs a loving home. Call or email Gary or Judy for any questions you have about him. Or if you want to meet to see if he is the match you are looking for. Stevie comes with 2 months FREE Health Insurance from Embrace Health Insurance! Check them out at Embrace.com He has separation anxiety when you leave and will chew things while you are gone. Pretty decent escape artist (separation anxiety again). (Less)

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
