Approximately 2. All his shots, chipped and fixed (about 6mos old when he was fixed). He is also on Nextguard and Heart guard, and has a health insurance plan thats deductible is payed off, and you can take over if you want to. He gets along with three other dogs male& female in the home, but has to be kept separated from the other male pit mix, so a meet and greet is needed if you have other dogs. As an only dog or with a female dog would be best. There are kids in the home, and he does great with them. He loves belly rubs, is crate and housetrained.

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-18-00302DAPHNE (female)
A wonderful man was driving through the reservation, came upon a wandering dog, and he gave her a lift to Phoenix. It turned out she was pregnant. One of her puppies, the lovely Daphne, is here with us, patiently waiting for her forever home; her sister and two brothers have been adopted. A mix of Australian Cattle Dog and Mastiff, this goofy, floppy puppy is expected to weigh around 80 or 90 pounds when she is full-grown. She is nearly four months old now. Daphne will be a joy for anyone who loves big dogs. She is high-energy: running, jumping, playing, and general goofing around are her things! She is still an innocent puppy, trying to be a friend to everyone, and learning the hard lesson that not every dog wants to roughhouse. But she will do just fine. The adoption fee is $275 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our dogs is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-05-00029Roman (male)
Roman is a sweet, laid back one year old puppy that can express plenty of energy! He is neutered, house trained, and fully up-to-date on is vaccinations. He loves to play outside with his Vizsla friend he grew up with but it is unknown how he will react with another dog he is not familiar with. Roman is very loving and gentle, and he can also be quite stubborn. He knows general commands like sit and lay down and 'no', but he requires very strong dominance, boundaries, and training. Despite his love for his family, he is very unwelcoming to visitors that he is unfamiliar with, hence his need for training. Roman enjoys to go on walks and he does a good job at staying by your side and not pulling. He likes to chase cats so you might not be the best choice for him if you have a kitty in the house. We love Roman dearly and would love to keep him, but unfortunately we are unable to provide the amount of time and training he requires. Roman needs someone who can provide the dominance to make him feel secure and confident, and not react out of fear. It is unknown how he will react with children. The re-homing fee is $150 to assure he will receive the best home possible. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-26-00507Bushwick (male)
*** PLEASE SHARE BUSHWICK FOR ADOPTION *** Bushwick (a/k/a Bushy) is a gorgeous 6-year-old Cane Corso mix. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, fully-vetted (valley fever, tick fever and heartworm negative), microchipped and licensed in Maricopa County. Bushy will do best with a family experienced with his breed and size. He will do excellent in a laid back home with a family that will be ready to provide structure and boundaries. He is pretty low energy, very loving, somewhat stubborn, but loves all people. With that said, due to Bushy's size, he would probably do best in a home with no infants or toddlers. Bushy does not like cats so if you have cats, Bushy is not the boy for you. He is not a fan of large dominate male dogs. With the right intro and breed, or large dog savvy adopter, he could do well with a non-reactive female. Bushy is a really good boy. He is a gentle giant, a big baby and loves attention and affection. He would be a great addition to the right home. Please contact us if you would like to meet Bushy. He looks forward to interviewing you to be his potential new family. Bushwick is with Surrendered Souls Rescue located in Tempe, Arizona (480-584-2730). (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-24-00019Bently (female)
Bently is a 2 year old spunky girl! My fiance and I just rescued her from the Arizona Humane Society and she is extremely loving! We would love to find her a forever home. We currently live in an apartment and are finding thay she needs a bigger space to run around in. She is well trained and housebroken. The only thing is that she gets very excited around other dogs but with some training and commitment that can easily be fixed. she is very strong and pulls on the leash, someone with some muscle would be an ideal owner for her! Other than that she is a love bug and enjoys just being with her people. We have not seen the way she interacts with children. She loves females but seems a little unsure about men at first but warms up quickly! If anyone is interested please reach out! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-14-00390Burt (male)
My name is Burt Reynolds. I am a love. I walk very well on a leash and obey sit and stay. I am very treat-oriented and will obey perfectly when you continue to train me with treats. I have been living outside and have my own pen and dog house and love being walked every day. I walk with other dogs from the rescue and don't mind when dogs are barking at me through fences while on my walk. I just ignore them. I don't jump up on people and just want someone to give me a forever home, or even foster me for awhile. I have a sweet, laid back temperament and would love to have a home with a nice backyard that I can run around in. If you have other animals, please bring them for a meet and greet with me. I love belly rubs and will put my big old head on your lap for ear scratches. Our rescue strives to make a perfect match, but we ALWAYS want the pet returned if it doesn't work out. Adoption donations are refunded within the first two weeks minus $50, if you need to return a pet. You may want to try fostering first to see if the pet would be a good fit for you. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-07-00379Shiloh (male)
Shiloh was abandoned by his family when they moved out of country. The week he was left it rained almost every day and he was cold and terrified throughout it all. Our rescuers came in the middle of the night through the mud and muck to save him. They managed to gain his trust enough to get him in their car and thus began Shiloh's journey. He was safe, but still had a long road ahead of him. Shiloh is extremely sweet and gentle; he loves kids, cats, and dogs alike. He will need a patient family who understands fear in animals, but will be your forever cuddle companion and play buddy.

this is a COURTESY POST ONLY - please see direct contact information below!! Champion is a 2 year old handsome, brindle boy. Well-trained and extremely smart!!! Are you looking for an exercise companion that will work out as hard as you on the long board, treadmill, jogging path, or bicycle? Do you crave the unconditional love of a companion who wants nothing more than to work out hard, share a meal, and relax in your arms? Look no further! Champion is a beautiful 2 year old male brindle boy looking for his forever home. Champ's ideal home would be with a family that will provide him with the proper exercise and love that he craves. Champion would be best as an only dog due to his size and strength but has gotten along with other dogs without issue. Champ is listed on his Maricopa County paperwork as a Mastiff/Plott Hound mix and is a complete love bug weighing in at 73 lbs. and is up to date on all shots. Champion has been in Rescue with One by One Animal Rescue (onebyonear.org or One by One on Facebook) for almost a year due to being displaced as a result of his original family separating and no longer having a safe place to call home. Champ has been socialized in settings including Pet stores, restaurants, back yard parties, and neighborhood walks. Champ is a good boy and deserves the best family. |Rescue Me ID: 16-03-24-00388Champ (male)|
Champion is a one year old playful love bug. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, crate trained, and knows basic obedience. His favorite form of exercise is running on his treadmill. 'Champ' is looking for someone in the Phoenix area committed to working with his trainer to foster Champ to get him ready for his forever home. For Champ to be successful it would be best for him to be an only pup to allow us to focus solely on him. Champion comes with a treadmill to keep up his routine until he gets adopted. Champion is with One by One Rescue and Brindle Buddies-Lost and Found. Champ is listed as a Plott Hound/Mastiff mix on his official records. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Arizona
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
