Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered

Ricker here, glad you stopped by! Looking for an awesome, friendly, playful, smart, gentle, lap dog, who might lovingly grunt from time to time? You clicked on the right profile then, because that's me in a nutshell! I am super lovable and like to spread it around equally among everyone. I come to a whistle (cool hey?), and know the commands Sit and No. I love treats, especially chewy ones, and always take them so gently! My food motivation may help me learn new things quickly and easily. I have foster siblings who I love running outside with, and I tend to enjoy chewing on things - I may have been caught chewing a shoe or two, which is when ... (Read More)my knowledge of the word No comes in handy! I love being petted, enjoy car rides, and if you like quirkiness, I've got a great one for you! I like to lick ears - human ears, dog ears, absolutely no preference. Check my photo gallery for my cute 'frog leg' pose - this is my favourite comfy laying down position. I have some injuries to my face and neck, which are souvenirs from my life as a stray. Also, I am submissive around large dogs, until I get to know them. Well, we are at the end of my bio, so I guess it's time to set up a meet and greet! If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an online app today! Adoption fee is $175 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Rescue Me ID: 15-03-15-00661Sasha (female)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi there, I am Sasha, and I'm such a GOOD GIRL! I was SO afraid and timid when my fosters picked me up.... my tail was tucked so tight between my legs that they could barely see it. That was only a few days ago, and now I actually smile and am coming out of my shell. I get to go on lots of walks which I love, and I'm great on a leash. I also go potty right away when you take me, then we can just enjoy the rest of the walk without stopping all the time! I know the commands 'sit' and 'kennel' and am a very loving girl. It's amazing what a difference a few days make! Stay tuned for more updates, and if you'd like to meet me, please fill out the ... (Read More)online app today! Rescue Me ID: 15-02-26-00130Dunkin (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Dunkin. We have had since he was 5 weeks old. He is a great animal but a little ruff around the edges. He was attacked by another dog around 6 months old so he does not do well with other dogs. He is super loving and does awesome with my two toddlers but he also likes space sometimes. My husband is in the military, and we can not find housing that will accept him. I have searched multiple rescues in the area we are in and surrounding areas of our home town with no luck! The humane society told me flat out they would euthanize him due to his dog aggression. I know this is something that can be worked on because with slow, supervised ... (Read More)in a controlled envioent he did well with meeting my mothers dog. My 'fee' is not a set price. My main concern is he is not used for malicious intents and that he gets another loving home he deserves. (Less)

Gidget is a sweet, well-behaved dog that has been in the shelter for a while now. Gidget has a beautiful brindle coat with a white chest. Rescue Me ID: 14-09-30-00382Reno (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Look at those eyes!!! Reno is one of our males from a DFW area rescue operation. He was scheduled to be euthanized, but with the help of some great volunteers, he made his way up to Colorado. We took a chance on this guy and we hope you will too! Reno seems a bit intimidating at first due to his size and the intensity of his beautiful eyes, but he is a BIG baby! He does well with most other dogs and cats, but we'd suggest slow, controlled introductions since we don't know much about his history. He is crate and house trained and already knows how to sit and speak! Reno is such a people pleaser! He loves his humans and wants nothing more ... (Read More)than to be loved! Reno is neutered, current on all his vaccines, heart worm negative, and micro chipped so he is all ready to become the newest member of your family! Our adoption process begins with you meeting Reno. Feel free to schedule a play date with him and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Reno to you for a small adoption fee. You will also have the option to purchase a large wire kennel for an additional fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract. We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to insure that Reno is adjusting well to his new home and that he is happy and healthy. We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to insure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-29-00047Big Red (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, my name is Big Red, and I'm just as sweet as I am BIG. I absolutely LOVE to snuggle, play, and go for walks. My super-sensitive nose can search out any hidden food in the house... I love this game! I need a home with a human who is a strong leader; one who is familiar with my large, strong breed and who will provide the training necessary to improve on my social skills (like learning to share with other dogs) and separation anxiety. I absolutely LOVE children, and sometimes, I catch myself longingly watching them play from afar and I miss the family that I used to know. I would thrive in a home with older children (age 10+) because I ... (Read More)am a little clumsy around the younger ones. I would also prefer a home where I am the only pet. I enjoy car rides and just like sitting in the back minding my own business. I guess it is relaxing for me because sometimes I will settle in for a nice snooze. I am working on leash training and at learning some other cool skills, and I've heard rumblings that I'm smart and easy to train, so with consistency I know I'll be at the top of my class in no time. I get pretty excited for treats (especially carrots), and take them gently, so this could be a great motivator for me to learn new things. I'm an active and strong guy and would love a busy, active family, with people who might take me for a morning jog. I'm also content laying around indoors with you on rainy days. Fun Fact: I love chasing grasshoppers! Don't let my big 'ole toothy smile scare you because I am a submissive fellow and just giving you a big 'welcome home' grin! If you are looking to add a big, handsome guy to your family and are willing to continue my social skills training, then please fill out the paperwork to make me part of your home - my forever home! Adoption fee is $175 which covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, heart worm test and spay/neuter . Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . Since I am a Pitbull Mix, I can't be adopted or fostered in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft Lupton, Lone Tree, or Louisville. (Less)
