Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is my forever home. I am a very sweet and snuggly pup who loves to frolic in the snow. (SEE VIDEO) I am potty trained, current on vaccinations and have a microchip. I love my housemate Koda but haven't gotten a chance to meet many other dogs because I get over excited sometimes. I am currently in an off-leash training program and I am learning the commands very fast. My adoptive owners love me very much but are struggling to find time for the training I need to be happy. ~ Luna's adoption fee is $75.00 and we are requesting it be donated to Rescue Me. We are only trying to find her the perfect match. If ... (Read More)you think that could be you. Email me and we can set up a time for you to meet your new best friend. Happy Holidays! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-30-00382Reno (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Look at those eyes!!! Reno is one of our males from a DFW area rescue operation. He was scheduled to be euthanized, but with the help of some great volunteers, he made his way up to Colorado. We took a chance on this guy and we hope you will too! Reno seems a bit intimidating at first due to his size and the intensity of his beautiful eyes, but he is a BIG baby! He absolutely adores his humans and does well with larger dogs, particularly females, but we strongly suggest that he goes to a home without smaller animals. Reno's ideal home would be one with a yard and 1 other larger female dog or as an only dog himself. He would also love to be ... (Read More)able to snuggle with his humans at night! :) Reno is crate and house trained, knows how to sit and speak, and responds well to many other verbal commands too! Reno is such a people pleaser! He really loves his humans and wants nothing more than to be loved in return! Reno is neutered, current on all his vaccines, heart worm negative, and microchipped so he is all ready to become the newest member of your family! Our adoption process begins with you meeting Reno. Feel free to schedule a play date with him and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Reno to you for a small adoption fee. You will also have the option to purchase a large wire kennel for an additional fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract. We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to insure that Reno is adjusting well to his new home and that he is happy and healthy. We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to insure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Colorado
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
