Rescue Me ID: 17-02-27-00589Dakota (female)

Mastiff    Age: Adult

Dakota is her name but she answers to 'Kota.' This stunning girl is a Cane Corso and she is about six years old and is looking for a new home at no fault of her own after her family moved into an apartment and felt it was best for Kota to go to a new home with a yard. Kota has a super sweet personality; she loves walks, toys, bones, and snuggling. Kota is potty trained, knows some basic commands, loves cats, dogs, kids, and pretty much everyone she meets. She can take a little while to warm up to some new people at first, but after a short time she will be laying on your lap like she is still a small puppy. Kota has had both of her back ... (Read More)knees replaced but she does not require daily meds and she gets around just fine; she even handles stairs and jumping on beds with ease! With that said, being allowed on the furniture is a must for this mastiff girl! Are you the one Kota has been waiting for?! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-19-00619CLYDE (male)

Mastiff    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adult Men Only
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Clyde the presa canario: Clyde is facing a death sentence. He will be euthanized if I can't find him a new home by the last week in October/first week of November (I'm moving in with relatives who aren't welcoming him). He's my best friend and is plagued with sadness from our serious change in life circumstances and no longer having a yard and the constant commotion of an apartment complex. He should be an only dog and no children. Cats and chickens are alright as i suspect would be other livestock. He's never hurt my child, not so much as a growl, but he doesn't cope well with strange kids who are unsure of him. He's a member of my family ... (Read More)and i must explore every opportunity to save his life. He will need patience and a devoted person so he can be a normal dog again. He knows basic commands and walks well, he's less reactive on walks too. He is intact and papered. He needs a yard to play in, not an apartment dog unless you are very active. Please help share this to try to save Clyde from his current outlook. (Less)

Clyde the purebred presa is facing a death sentence. He bit me about a month ago but has never bit before and hasn't since. He's large and powerful and having a 7 yr old means he will be euthanized if I can't find him a new home SOON (I'm moving in with relatives who understandably aren't welcoming him). He is intact and papered. He needs a yard to play in, not an apartment dog unless you are very active. Please help share this to try to save Clyde from his current outlook. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Colorado
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
