I need help! I am taking in three badly neglected dogs. Two are locked in outside pens that are full of mud and one is tied to a tree by a logging chain, non of the dogs have shelters of any kind. When I saw them I could not bare to leave them like this and with the very cold weather coming in tonight there is no way they will make it, due to it being below freezing and them being cover in water/mud. I need donations of anything that would help! Like blankets, towels, dog beds, dog food, large dog collars, etc. We will be rescuing a Mastiff and two Hounds. If you help us in any way I will send you pictures of them finally safe. Thank you and God Bless! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-25-00238Izzy (female)|
Izzy is a 4 year old, 115 pound Cane Corso, Italian Mastiff, who has been a loving, sweet, funny companion for my husband and me. However, she has become increasingly aggressive, unpredictable, and dangerous with our smaller dogs. She has never ever even growled at a human. We are very attached to her and the decision to rehome her is a very difficult one. We insist that she have a loving home, inside where she can be a couch potato and watch tv with her new family. She has never spent time around children, so I don't know how she would do, but I don't know if it would be worth the risk. She is a loyal velcro dog who takes her job of protecting us very seriously. She loves to ride in the car, take walks with us, play in her baby pool, and meet us at the door with her favorite antler. She wakes us in the morning with a wet nose and insistent whining, not because she wants to go out or eat but because she needs company. She has a love look that will melt your heart. She has had 2 knee surgeries on her back legs so she isn't good walking 'off road' but she walks a mile on paved ground easily, so long as it's not hot. She hates heat. I am happy to provide any medical records. We had one of the best surgeons around do her work. She has been loved, spoiled, and has filled our hearts for 4 years, and this is the hardest thing we have done in a long time, but we can't give up our aging crew of old dogs. We just want everyone to be happy and safe. I am happy to answer any questions. My computer is too old to use the application to send pics on this site, but I can email them. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-25-00068Simba 'bubba' (male)|
Simba is a part of our family. He is an indoor/outdoor dog loves laying on the bed or couch but also being outside in nice weather. we are having to find him a new home because as he is ok with our other 3 dogs ( pit female yorkie female and boston terrier female) our neighbors let their dogs out while he was out on the leash and he attacked their male yorkie and injured him badly to where he did not live... i hate to have to find him a new home but with a new baby coming in two weeks ( he is fine with our 4 year old daughter ) my husband feels bad for the neighbors and doesnt trust to have him around a newborn. i would like to find a family where he is the only pet. he is a sweet loving dog but doesnt like other animals in his space. |Rescue Me ID: 14-03-29-00403Lobo (male)|
Lobo is a 6 year old Cane Corso/ Pit Bull mix. He's 90 lbs, with a beautiful blue brindle coat. He isn't good with other dogs, so he needs to be the only pet and have owners who will handle him responsibly. Lobo is a great companion. He's a calm dog who would like nothing more than to sit next to you, and an occasional game of fetch. Lobo has had a rough life, and ended up heartworm positive in a kill shelter. He's been treated for his heartworms and is safe out of the shelter. Now he just needs his perfect home. Please fill out an application at www.ShelterAngelsPitBullRescue.org if you'd like to meet him. References & home checks required.

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Georgia|
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
