Mastiff Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Mr. Big is an absolutely beautiful and sweet as can be boy. He was found lying on the interstate with a very broken hind leg and terribly emaciated. His massive frame weighed only 58 lbs on 4/1/14. Today, however, he is up to 70 lbs, but still has about another 15 lbs to put on. He was brought to us and we immediately sent Mr. Big in to surgery to repair is broken bones on 4/7/14. He has a metal plate and screws that will hold his bones in place until they heal back. He is doing wonderfully. Mr. Big is a gentle giant. The staff at the vet's office where Mr. Big stayed for several days say he is a MR. BIG SWEETIE because he is such a ... There is no cast or bandage; he just needs to be kept quiet, gentle walking, no jumping or running until his bones are healed. The surgeon expects him to make a full recovery. Since Mr. Big went in to surgery quickly, we have not assessed him with other dogs or cats. Adoption fee includes neuter, all vaccinations, heartworm check (negative), microchip and fecal test (negative). (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Indiana
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
