Hello everyone I am Abby, a ~2 year old female English mastiff mix. I am mixed with something smaller because I am only around 80lbs. I was surrendered to BNR after my family could no longer care for me and could not handle some of the issues I was having. As of right now I am suggested to be the only animal in the home! The rescue is working with me with and other dogs, so hopefully in time I will learn to socialize. I am not good with cats at all. I am nervous when first meeting men/young boys and will take patience for me to warm up to them. I am great with all women/young girls! I am protective if allowed to be so you will need to correct that behavior from day one. I just love my humans so much I want to keep them safe. I am suggested with children 8 years plus due to the fact I have some issues. An experienced handler with large breeds would be the best home, but not required. I am kennel trained, potty trained, and know commands. I am a very sweet girl that just was not properly socialized. That combined with my breed tendencies results in nervous/aggressive behavior. However when meeting women I always have a wagging tail and give kisses. I am low/med energy dog that would love to go for daily walks! If you would like to adopt me please contact email@example.com for more information or go to their website at bullienationrescue.com to submit an adoption application. If you adopt me and take me though a training course and send Buille Nation the certificate that I passed they will give you some of my adoption fee back. Also, if you get me CGC certified, you will get more back! (Less)

Great to meet you! I'm Titan, and while that might make me sound tough, I'm actually a lover (and a lap dog at heart!). I'm also a cheese hound. But then again, who doesn't love cheese? What I love most, though, is getting my hips massaged. Offer me the chance, and I'll back right up to you for some TLC. It makes me feel so good as you'll see from the goofy grin I get on my face. Truth is, I have a little arthritis so I have to take pain meds and something called glucosamine the rest of my life. But hey, I'm not letting a little thing like that slow me down (I'm only four, after all). My friends here at the ACSPCA say it's probably best, though, I find a family without kids. Is that you? I sure hope so - I'm ready to open my heart to my forever family! Weight: 75 Lbs Where I Came From: Transfer from Marion County - owner surrender No Children A Special Note from the Allen County SPCA: Remember dogs are a lifelong commitment. We at the Allen County SPCA ask that you take adding a furry family member to your home seriously, and do your research on the different breeds before adopting. We also ask that you are able to keep up on yearly vaccinations, monthly preventatives, a good diet, daily exercise, training, and most of all, LOVE. If you ever are having an issue with a dog that you have adopted, please contact us right away; we may be able to help, or we can put you in touch with someone who can. (Less)

this dog is good with most adults but does not get along with kids. he gets along well with our children and my grandson but he grew up with them. kids have teased them in the past and so he does not get along well with kids he is not around all the time. we have a small home and he does not have the room he needs to get enough exercise. they need a place with a lot of room to run and they are becoming more expensive they we can afford. they deserve a better home than the one they have. we have two a female also named lexi. she has a better temperament than zin and has been fixed. she is very trainable.we would like to see them go to a good home for free if someone is willing to take them. you must have a lot of love and land to keep these dogs happy. we just cannot take care of them anymore and don't like to think about putting them down. please someone out there needs to take them for us. |Rescue Me ID: 14-09-26-00228Bentley (male)|
We took Bentley in from an acquaintance that could not keep him do to size and lack of space. We have 2 other dogs, a male mixed lab and a female English Mastiff. All are outside on 5_7 acres. They all get along great. Bentley is generally a sweet dog, loves attention and to play. However, over past few months has nipped at guests. We have 3 teenage daughters so lots of people in and out of house. So we can not keep him and chance someone getting bit or hurt. He has never been aggressive with us or our kids. And even though he has nipped at others/ guests I wouldn't really call it aggressive behavior.

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
