|Rescue Me ID: 15-01-27-00065Xena (female)|
We are moving and we are unable to take our Mastiffs with us. We also have a male Mastiff who is one year younger that we need to re-home. Both dogs are house-trained. The male has NOT been neutered. We would like them to be re-homed together. We would like to keep the dogs until the last week of February or the first week of March if at all possible. Xena does have anxiety during storms or when there are loud noises (thunder, fireworks, etc.) she is fine if she can be near her human. Xena would be fine with an older child/teen but she prefers not to be around the chaos of a younger child. Xena was born in July, 2007.

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
