Calling all Royals fan!! Here's a Royal you can't help but love... Royal is a 3 year old lab/boxer or lab/mastiff mix who has had a rough time in life. But you'd never know it!! We have known Royal for a long time... he had lived in our local shelter for over a year. In that time, he was constantly passed over and so incredibly sad, stuck in the same kennel day after day. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, someone seemed to be his perfect family. They took him home and we were very relieved that Royal was finally out of the shelter environment. Unfortunately, a week later, the family returned him because he had nipped their child. They ... (Read More)completely admitted that they'd allowed their child to hit him repeatedly in the face with toys and torment him in his kennel by sticking her hands in and grabbing at him. He was returned to the shelter and completely traumatized. We knew we couldn't let him go back to the same environment so we decided to take him home with us. We've never met a more grateful dog. He is so incredibly happy and we see it every single day. He is completely house trained, loves to play with the other dogs and has had absolutely no issues with other dogs of any shape or size, and is gentle with and respectful of the cats. He sleeps on the couch at night and we don't have to worry about him being destructive. He loves to play and he loves to use his voice to get his point across. He is funny and sweet and will make someone the most wonderful, loving, loyal, and grateful companion. At this time, we would prefer to find Royal a home with no children under the age of 10-- he was traumatized at his former home. But don't worry, we promise you are going to wonder what it could possibly take to push this incredibly sweet dog so far-- we wonder the same thing. If you are interested in adopting Royal, please send us a message or read over our policies at GypsySoulRR.com/policies and fill out a dog Adoption Application at GypsySoulRR.com/forms. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Kansas
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
