Cookie will be 3 years old this April. We have had her since she was a puppy (10 weeks). She is one of a litter of 11 all of which were healthy. Her parents are purebread but I have never registered her. She has always been high energy. A little over a year ago one of her littermates came to live with us. She is very submissive but since then we have had problems with Cookie. She is demanding with my husband and me. Further training is difficult with 2 dogs and we are 70 and 77 years old. She is exhausting for us to care for. We would like to try to keep the more docile of the two.

Now this is a big guy. he is 2.5 years old, and weighs about 110 lb or more. he is doing well with his foster dad who has five dogs. he is crate trained and loves everyone. I am not sure how hes getting along with the cats, but we can find out. Axel is from maine and was surrendered to us because the fianc̩ was afraid of him. He loves to cuddle. knows basic commands. does not like the water for swimming. he is active and protective of his women. I would only place his with bigger kids, because of his size.He just needs someone who is an Alpha leader. his adoption fee fully vetted is 325. if you are interest in this big sweetie, I will put you in touch with his foster dad and send you an application. thanks for loving axel... Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Maine if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
