|Rescue Me ID: 17-03-02-00497Ella (female)|
Ella is a great dog, we adopted her a few months ago, she is great with kids, super friendly, very affectionate an all around great dog. She definitely needs someone to continue to work with her on her manners when food and other pets are around but for the most part she's a sweetheart with other animals...However;I am asthmatic and had no idea just how much she shed and her fur is affecting my health. I also feel like she needs more space. We live in a townhouse and although the yard is a decent size she likes to hang out outdoors and we don't have much room for her to really stretch her legs. Ideally I would love for her to a family with children and a lot of land. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-01-00146Nasir (male)|
Nasir is a beautiful 180lb Boerboel (South African mastiff). He has been a part of our family for 4 years now (he'll be 5 years old on March 27). Nasir is very sweet and extremely smart! He loves attention and often is the 'beau of the ball' where ever we go (especially Petsmart or the vet!). He is a little wary of strangers but after reassurance, a quick sniff and a rub behind his ears, he warms up. He is definitely an 'inside' dog but loves outside time playing with us. Due to his hips, he does not climb stairs. Nasir has been trained to do basic commands and loves to play with his toys. We have to move in January and will not be able to bring him with us so now we find ourselves looking for a GOOD home for our sweet boy. Please only SERIOUS INQUIRIES--this is a very hard decision but one that we have no choice but to make. (Less)

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
