Beardog is a friendly, face licking, playful, talkative, 170# of puppy. Yeah, he never grew up. A bit of a possessive streak, probably my fault because he's spoiled rotten. Cats are playtoys which should be chased at every opportunity. Good eyesight, able to catch, especially when a treat is involved. Although no sinus problems, snores loudly, especially if he is sleeping on his back. This one loves everybody.

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis, Hip Dysplasia

Zeus is a shelter dog who had not been treated well before I adopted him. Unfortunately due to illness and the loss of my home shortly, I need to find him a home where he gets plenty of love and TLC for the rest of his days. Zeus doesn't run, he strolls. He is also not overly affectionate in the sense of face licks and such (I blame that on his childhood). But Zeus tells you when he is happy, when he puts that massive head on your leg or does a 'paws up' for belly scratches. This guy is truly a gentle giant and my child, so he is only going to a family that I trust. BTW, I said no children, but that is not true -- Zeus has never been ... (Read More)exposed to children, but if he's like most things, he will give them the eyeball and go back to his nap. Finally, while this is a dream, Zeus has a brother and sister: Bear is a Mastiff/Rotty mix and Grace is a Pit/Terrier mix. Ideally I would like them all to go together because thy have been together for more than eight years now and unfortunately my new accommodations will not allow me to keep them. Serious inquiries only, this is very hard for me. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Maryland
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
