Rescue Me ID: 14-09-21-00486Terra (female)

Mastiff    Age: Puppy

Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Terra is a Cane Corso which is also known as an Italian Mastiff, the close relative of the Neapolitan Mastiff. Terra is a good dog, but she is a bit aggressive until she gets to know a person and know that the person is not a threat. She is very protective, but very affectionate. She is very large in size. She is a barker. Her ears are whole, but her tail has a 'showdog' cut at approximately 10 inches. She is a beautiful fawn even smooth color. Otherwise she is in good shape as far as I know.

Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

My name is Zeus and I am an incredible boy. I was not well cared for when I was a pup so now I am shy with strangers. I love people, but when I meets omeone new, sometimes I lay on my belly and wiggle, because I'm not sure if they are nice or not. I love to cuddle and I give great hugs and kisses. I am young, only about 18 months old, and there isn't a mean bone in my body! My favorite thing to do is lay my head in your lap and snuggle. I also like to play with my jolly ball - I throw it all around and pounce on it! I would be best in a home without small dogs and cats. Young children make me nervous so for my own comfort level, I should ... (Read More)be in a home with kids over the age of 10. I am a very big muscular boy and I know I look tough, but please give me a chance. I'm a big marshmallow dog who just wants someone to love forever and ever... maybe it's you?? PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Michigan
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
