Animal ID: 1147Rocky(Brown) (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This handsome boy is 5 year old Rocky (Brown). Rocky is a beautiful mix of, what we believe to be, a Chow Chow and English Mastiff and possibly a few other things sprinkled in. But all that doesn't really matter. What matters is the fact that this guy recently lost his owner and didn't have any other family members interested in keeping him, which is how he ended up in a shelter. Because his future was not looking bright, Rocky was transferred here to Wild Dog Rescue. If you are looking for a faithful companion, look no further. Rocky is a very smart boy and knows more than just the basics. He enjoys cuddles and car rides. He would love to ... Rescue Me ID: 16-03-09-00705Zeus the Moose (male)

Mastiff    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Zeus the Moose is a purebred Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) and a big sweet goofy dog. Protective and doting, this guy will butt-wiggle his way into your heart, home, and lap (he LOVES to cuddle). He's best with older kids because he truly has no idea he's a big boy, and may knock younger kiddos around. He also does well with larger dogs, for the same reason, he's very playful and doesn't know his size. Adoption application, home and vet check required. Don't miss your chance to have a Moose in your life!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Michigan
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
