Animal ID: 1147Rocky(Brown) (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This handsome boy is 5 year old Rocky (Brown). Rocky is a beautiful mix of, what we believe to be, a Chow Chow and English Mastiff and possibly a few other things sprinkled in. But all that doesn't really matter. What matters is the fact that this guy recently lost his owner and didn't have any other family members interested in keeping him, which is how he ended up in a shelter. Because his future was not looking bright, Rocky was transferred here to Wild Dog Rescue. If you are looking for a faithful companion, look no further. Rocky is a very smart boy and knows more than just the basics. He enjoys cuddles and car rides. He would love to ... For more photos and videos of Rocky (Brown) take a moment and check out our Facebook page at www.mosseyhollow.com. Wild Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that relies on donations for the continued care of the animals. The rescue is located at 2525 Blue Star Highway Fennville, MI 49408. An application must be complete prior to scheduling a visit with our adoptable animals. Applications can be found on our website at www.mosseyhollow.com. This allows us to ensure a good fit for both the animal and your family. Please remember that all visits are by appointment only. For further information or to schedule a visit with one of our adoptable dogs, please email wilddogonline@gmail.com or call us at (269)205-3646. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-15-00149Zahir (female)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

AS OF 3/18/17, ZAHIR HAS NOT YET BEEN ADOPTED BUT HAS A LONG WAITING LIST. If you contacted us before 3/18/2017 and have not yet heard back please cut & paste your original email to the message section here: https://www.facebook.com/HateYouForeverDog/ and we'll get in touch with you by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday 3/21/17. *********** Zahir is one of a litter of nine puppies born to a feral dog we rescued just days before she whelped. Zahir is now 10 weeks old and ready to go to her forever home. Mom is a german shepherd mix, and we think the father is a large mastiff that we saw running with her around the time she would have gotten pregnant. We ... (Read More)expect Zahir to weigh somewhere between 60-80 pounds as an adult. Zahir is one of our friendliest puppies. She's very active and playful, but she's just as happy to curl up in your lap for some petting as she is to chase bubbles (she LOVES bubbles). Zahir does well with every dog and person she's met so far. She is paper trained but not housebroken. Zahir is up-to-date on her shots but she isn't fixed yet. We will ask to do a home visit, and will ask you to sign an adoption contract. Part of the contract will state that she must be spayed between 5 and 6 months of age. We live in a zip code where that can be done free of charge if needed. Zahir is a real love bug! We're doing meet-and-greets with the puppies through the end of March. Please check out our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HateYouForeverDog/) for more information on the puppies we have available, and feel free to reach out to schedule a puppy party if you'd like to choose the one that's best for you! Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

AS OF 3/18/17, ALEPH HAS NOT YET BEEN ADOPTED BUT HAS A LONG WAITING LIST. If you contacted us before 3/18/2017 and have not yet heard back please cut & paste your original email to the message section here: https://www.facebook.com/HateYouForeverDog/ and we'll get in touch with you by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday 3/21/17. *********** Aleph is one of a litter of nine puppies born to a feral dog we rescued just days before she whelped. Mom is a brindle shepherd mix and we thing the father is a large mastiff that we saw her running with around the time she would have gotten pregnant. Aleph is ten weeks old. He's a little bit larger than this picture ... (Read More)shows (it was taken at 7 weeks), and he's starting to get some of those classic mastiff wrinkles. He's good with all of our other dogs and with every person he's met so far. Aleph has no food aggression issues, and he's very quick to ask for playtime and cuddling. He's paper trained but not yet housebroken. Aleph is also up to date on shots. He is not yet fixed. We will ask for a home visit and will want you to sign an adoption contract. Part of the contract states that he must be neutered between 5 & 6 months old. We live in a zip code where that can be done for free if needed so please don't let that be a barrier to adopting this sweet boy! The adoption fee covers his vaccinations to date, some starter food, and a few other goodies. You can find more information about Aleph and his littermates on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HateYouForeverDog/. (Less)

Mastiff    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Zeus the Moose is a purebred Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) and a big sweet goofy dog. Protective and doting, this guy will butt-wiggle his way into your heart, home, and lap (he LOVES to cuddle). He's best with older kids because he truly has no idea he's a big boy, and may knock younger kiddos around. He also does well with larger dogs, for the same reason, he's very playful and doesn't know his size. Adoption application, home and vet check required. Don't miss your chance to have a Moose in your life!

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Michigan
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
