|Rescue Me ID: 14-08-26-00215Big Ben - IN TRAINING (male)|
You may know me as Big Ben, but I am also a gentle giant type of guy (male dog). I've been with children and by other dogs, pretty much housebroke myself and I always handle situations in a good manner. I like people a lot and very little gets me to even bark. I can also be protective of my owners and will bark a time or two if someone new comes over. Even though I am big, I will be very careful moving around and be the perfect dog for you. I am called a St. Bernard mix whatever that means, see a picture of me for yourself. If you like a loving, quiet, and relaxed dog who likes treats please asked to see me because I know you will fall in love with me and I will with you. On August 29th I entered the RPSM Correctional Companion Program for 8 weeks where I will be learning all my basic commands and maybe some cute tricks. I look forward to meeting my new family when I'm paroled. My lucky adopter will receive an operator's manual so we can continue to enjoy and practice the great training I'm receiving. I'm neutered and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, and FT. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older. I will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $200. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-08-09-00072Lilly (female)|
Lilly is a 3y/o English Mastiff, she has an even temperament, with occasional bouts of puppy play. She LOVES little people, my 12, and 7 year old kids like to use her as a pillow when watching TV, and she is in heaven when they do. Because of having to move due to work, my new landlord will not let me keep her. She does become very aggressive around other med to large dogs, but has done ok with puppies, and other small dogs in the past. She is house and cage broke, eats twice a day 2.5cups in summer, and 3cups in winter per feeding. She is fed Dick Van Pattan's, Natural Balance L.I.D. (limited ingredient diet) dog food, all flavors. Favorite treats are ice cubes, and chunks of bananas. Does very well with bathing, brush, blow drier, and i use a dremel tool for her nails. She loves her belly rubbed, car, and boat rides, as well as playing in water. She will come with crate, harness, collar, leash, as well as all documents. She weighs about 150lbs, and stands 29.5 at the shoulders. She does not have AKC papers. (Less)

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
