Meet Diego a 3 yr. old Bandog Mastiff. Bandogs like Diego are extremely intelligent, highly trainable, confident and typically very docile dogs that love attention. Diego is no exception as he's a quiet and reserved kind of fella as most dogs from this lineage do not bark. His temperament is calm and mellow and he prefers to be a peacekeeper. All in all he's a gentle giant and good with kids and possibly other dogs with slow introductions. He is not good with cats. Diego is an easy keeper but a very strong dog as he weighs in at a whopping 88 lbs! A strong owner is a recommended. Diego does however come with a big problem, he eats rocks, ... (Read More)balls, and toys. Due to this ball eating guy we are looking to place him in a home with no children or other pets. We are hoping for a meticulous home where he won't have access to the things he loves! Diego's environment will have to be heavily managed for non edible items as he has swallowed 2 tennis balls before. If you love a gentle guy with a heart of gold than come meet Diego! We're looking for that special home that can manage his eating disorder. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Montana
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Montana if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
