Rescue Me ID: 17-04-25-00460Osiris (male)
Osiris 2-3 year old male mastiff mix Osiris was rescued from a local kennel. In the kennel he was displaying signs of resource possession over his food dish but we haven't seen that behavior in rescue. He is a sweet boy that can be protective. He will tolerate children but seems to prefer adults. He is crate trained, UTD on vaccines, heartworm tested, housebroken, and knows some basic commands. Osiris needs an experienced Mastiff home. Adoption fee is $300.

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-25-00363Lilly (female)
Lilly is a great dog, she is very good with kids. I have recently moved and cannot have her in my new place. I recently split with my ex and was forced to move. I rescued her myself about 4 years ago, she is brindle in color. Great family dog, I hate to get rid of her but have no choice. She needs room to run and someone to love her as I have.
Medina County Wadsworth, OH MAP IT!
Animal ID: DanteDante (male)
Dante is an 11 week old, mastiff mix black brindle pup. He is a pretty calm pup, and he is the passive one of the 2, but will assert himself when needed. He does well sharing his food and toys. I have no problem taking things away from him or handling him. He's got a sweet temperment and seems a little less needy than his brother. He does great in his crate at night, doesn't cry. He is still potty training and is learning commands, and walking on leash. He likes to play with his brother and his toys. He has been around kids and has also seen my cats and like his brother, he is curious about them but does not take off after them. He is a good boy. Apply to adopt Dante at adoptapitrescue.org under the application tab. Dante is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $200 (Less)

Animal ID: VirgilVirgil (male)
Virgil is a red, 11 week old male, mastiff mix puppy. Between him and his brother, he is the boss. He's sweet, I call him needy puppy, greedy puppy. He is vocal and will bark and whine to get attention, like when he wants on the couch or let in. He shares his food fine and his toys. He is great in his crate at night, doesn't cry. He is learning sit and already knows how to shake. Since he's been with me, he's been around kids, men and women. I have cats, they hide but when Virgil does see them he's curious, but does not try and run after them. Command words I've been using with him are no, down and leave it. We are working on the potty training and walking on a leash. Virgil is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $200 (Less)

Animal ID: 216DKarma (female)
Hi, I'm Karma! I'm a Cane Corso mix but this site didn't have my breed as a choice. I'm 2.5 years old, just a young, pretty girl that is a total sweetheart. My family was moving and could not take me, so they left me at the shelter. I'd love a forever home that will keep and cherish me. I don't want to be tossed away again. I love belly rubs! Come meet me! Please, consider opening your heart and home to me before my time runs out here. My photographer pictures haven't been taken yet, so the shelter pics will have to do. There are some more on the shelter website. Here is what the shelter had to say about me: I am already spayed, housetrained, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.Karma was brought in by her owner. They were moving and could not keep her. She is very sweet and is said to be good with kids and other dogs but not cats. She is already spayed and housebroken. She loves to have belly rubs and scratches on the head. She is 2.5 years old. She is available for adoption so stop in and see her soon! (Less)

Animal ID: 403309Chuckles (male)
Chuckles - AVAIL! :) M, 8 y/o, 78 lbs Mastiff / Shepherd mix Neutered Chuckles knows how to sit, lay down, stay, come, and walk on a leash. If you're looking to rescue a big, protective personality who wants to be a good boy for you, Chuckles is your pup! He's a thick, goofy boy, short & stout, and all about belly rubs, back scratches, hugs, and kisses! He has a lot of pep and vitality for his age and loves to wander the backyard, go on daily mile-long walks, and can keep up on jogs! He wants to be indoors with companionship the most. He can be and has been crated daily when needed. He would be best in a one-on-one relationship but can be co-located with other dogs and cats with an experienced owner willing to work with him. HISTORY: Chuckles ended up at the kill-shelter after a life of neglect. He was abused with collars so embedded in his neck that they had to be removed and treated by a vet. We showed him humans can be kind and gentle. When we rescued Chuckles he was drastically underweight, heartworm positive, had dental issues, and was certain to be destroyed. We had him examined and treated by our hospital veterinarians and our excellent fosters have been providing great care, nutrition, and interaction daily. |Rescue Me ID: 16-12-07-00111Oso (male)|
Our amazing Oso! He is an 18 month old mastiff mix. He can be a bit unsure when first meeting someone new but then bonds quickly. He LOVES to play! Especially ball and makes the funniest noises when he sees you! We have not yet dog tested but he seems non reactive. He came to us from a home with cats and was interested when he met our tester cat but may be ok. He seems to like kids but we prefer to place him in a home with teens and older due to his size. For an application email firstname.lastname@example.org and go to our Facebook page at R.E.A.L. Rottweiler Rescue to see more pics and videos.

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
