|Rescue Me ID: 17-06-12-00102Duke (male)|
Duke came from Hindi's rescue. He was left on the porch when his owner moved away. I got Duke from a fr after he had bit a little boy she was watching. The boy was running around with a sandwich and he grabbed it. But since having him in my house he has gone after two people when they have come into my house. When Duke was at the other house he didn't bother when new people came in . Our vet and us have realized that our jac Russell barks and this gets Duke upset and he goes into protective mode. As of now my family will not come to visit us. Duke is very good with me and my husband and daughter .He gets along great with our other 2 dogs and doesn't bother with the cat. He has been out in public with no problems and last week we took him to Pet Smart for a bath and they said he did great he didn't like the dryer so Jeanne held him on he lap and he was fine. I just want him to have a good life that he deserves. I took him to my vet and he was the one who suggested I contact a Mastiff rescue as they would know what to do. Thank you (Less)

Paige Look out world I am here to lick you to death. My name is Paige and I came all the way in from Indiana. I was in a shelter for a really long time and then the vet decided to keep me at the office until I got adopted so I wasn't in danger of being put down. I small to medium dogs and am ok with cats; I had a best friend that was a cat named Daniel. I love to snuggle and give nibble kisses once I know you. I am cute as a button and I am crate trained and very good in the house. I really love treats so that I can keep up my girlish figure. I am a great Dane mix and probably mixed with mastiff or St. bernard. I am 3 years old and weigh about 110 pounds but who is counting? I am fearful of new people that come into my home but especially men. I don't like uniforms or costumes or hoods and stuff because I can't see your face but it's not uncommon for a dog to not like uniforms or such things. I love to play and am very good on a leash etc. I would say I would do best in a very laid back home with a couple that understands and is patient with. ADOPTION PENDING. (Less)

Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
