Animal ID: 14-06-03-00184Brett (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

GREAT COMPANION. BRETT is the perfect companion for anyone who likes larger dogs -- gentle, calm but playful, well socialized with people and other dogs, and very well behaved in the house. At 67 lbs., you don't have to bend down to pet him, and his grooming needs are minimal. This 9-year-old has only quirk: he must have another dog in the house to keep him company when his humans aren't home. Brett's adoption fee is $75, but we will waive it for adopters age 60 or older. Download our application at www.savethestrays.org and apply today! Question? Email us at info@savethestrays.org.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in South Carolina
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
