50 pound, blue gray with white markings. The mastiff shows in her gray-green eyes. She was the runt of the litter and might be 50% mastiff and mixed with American Stadfordshire Terrior and Rhodesian Ridgeback. She needs a home immediately as I cannot afford to provide adequate care for her. I had to put her daughter to sleep last week because she ingested poison and I did not have the money to pay for the emergency vet care she needed.

|Rescue Me ID: 15-02-13-00490Sylar (male)|
All about me! Name: Sylar aka Sy Breed: mastiff Age: est 6 years Height: est 28 inches Weight: about 114.8 lbs Good with dogs? yes Good with men? loves 'em Good with women? loves 'em House trained? yes Crate trained? yes Leash trained? yes Must have fenced in yard? yes Foster home is: Dreamweaver Farms Pacolet SC Adoption fee: $250.00 Date into rescue: 03/09/2014 Why am I with a rescue group? Sylar was released to CPR by his owner who could not spend enough time with him. He loves everyone and gets along great with dogs of all sizes, but would do best in a home without cats. According to his previous owner, he is house trained. How I act when I first meet new people: friendly Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. You can also read our adoption tips page for hints and helps on adopting a rescued dog. http://www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/AdoptionTips.shtml or for general information on Carolina Poodle Rescue, please visit our FAQs - http://www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/FAQGeneral.shtml If you are interested in providing a home for me, please complete our Adoption Application. |Animal ID: 14-06-03-00184Brett (male)|
GREAT COMPANION. BRETT is the perfect companion for anyone who likes larger dogs -- gentle, calm but playful, well socialized with people and other dogs, and very well behaved in the house. At 67 lbs., you don't have to bend down to pet him, and his grooming needs are minimal. This 9-year-old has only quirk: he must have another dog in the house to keep him company when his humans aren't home. Brett's adoption fee is just $45. Questions? Want to apply for Brett? Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
