Rescue Me ID: 16-09-24-00483Fedor (male)

Mastiff    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive

Fedor is a sweet and loving dog. He wants to please his owner and will look for affection in any situation. He loves his humans and will never shy away from an embrace, touch, or any love that comes his way. He has lived with the same family since he was a puppy, and has been incredibly accepting as the family has grown larger. Unfortunately with the growth of our family there is not enough time or resources to continue to care for him to the extent that his big, loving heart deserves. Fedor will excel in a household that is looking for a dog to dote on him, and if you are looking for a loyal companion, you will not do better than Fedor.

Muchi in good health, and he is the sweetest boy that you can ask for. Although he is house broken, he can use more training. The good news is that he is smart and learns fast. I found this dog a few blocks from my house with no ID. Since then I have been trying to find his home by using different social media. At the same time I keep trying to see if anyone is looking for him with no luck.

Mastiff    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament

Max is a lumbering, gentle giant. He needs some grooming and some love. He's a reverse brindle English Mastiff who is very much an inside dog. He doesn't have papers but his appearance speaks for itself. He's perfectly housebroken. Doesn't chew or bark although he snores like a grown man. He weighed in at 160 at his last checkup. He lived with me on land in rural Oklahoma for the past 6 years. He ran with me in the woods every day for four of those years. He doesn't require that level of exercise anymore but is trustworthy off a leash. I am heartbroken to say goodbye but I feel there's someone who can afford to care for him better than I. ... Rescue Me ID: 16-09-13-00299General Patton (male)

Mastiff Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

General Patton has personality as big as he is! We are very fortunate to know that his mother was a full bloodhound and his father was a large mastiff, so Patton is a XXL Bloodhound. He will become very bonded and protective over his human. Overall, he a sweet loving boy, who has gotten along great with his foster brother/sisters and completely loves water. If you are interested in Patton, we INSIST that you are knowledgeable with the breed. Due to his breeding, Patton shows more of off setting characteristics of the bloodhound breed, and you have to know how to handle him. In the right home, he will be a loving and wonderful addition. ...     Walter is a big, goofy puppy! He is super sweet and laid back. He was found at a gas station, looking at every vehicle, trying to find his owner. It was a sad sight to see. Walter is just under a year old and about 70 lbs, so we believe he's part mastiff. He did test positive for heartworms and is about halfway through his slow-kill treatment. (All medical costs involved in treating his heartworms will be paid for by us.)     This is my Osito (little bear). He is a super sweet loving and awesome dog. Unfortunately he does not get along with cats, and I have cats...He could possibly be trained to not think they are toys, but, not sure. His previous owners used him as a bait/practice dog, so, he does become slightly aggressive with certain dogs but hasn't had any issues with my other 4 dogs. He's house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and doesn't have any food aggression. He needs some training but for the most part he is very well behaved. He's a few days over 3 years old. He weighs a little more than 60 lbs, but was under weight when I adopted ... (Read More)him, and still needs to put on wieght. He's UTD on shots, neutered, and in good health. He deserves the best in life and it truly breaks my heart that I have to re-home him. I honestly would love to keep him or find him a forever family that will allow me to visit hiPlease consider giving him a home and all of the love you possibly can. Any other questions, let me know, please. Thank you!!!! (Less)

Meet Ava! She is a playful, loving, and very loyal Dogo Argentino. She's typical of a Dogo in that she can be calm and gentle and also very excitable at times. Ava loves car rides and meeting new people, and is well mannered when in public. She does great on walks, though will excitedly pull at the beginning, then fall into a calm pace. Ava came to us as a hot mess! She had been in a hoarding situation for over a year without medical care and was suffering from mange, secondary skin infections, and entropion (inverted eyelids). Now that she is past her eye surgery and she is feeling better overall, her puppy side is here! At the age of 2 1/2 ... (Read More)years old, Ava is finally truly getting to enjoy life. Ava is house and crate trained, will sit and make eye contact for food and treats, and would benefit from some training for manners - something her new family can do and use as a bonding experience. Her 'special needs' are her sensitive skin and allergies. The foster family along with Ava's dermatologist have figured out what will work for her and it is in Ava's best interest to have her adoptive family continue the care she is currently receiving. It is so rewarding to have helped Ava become the happy and healthy girl she is today. Now to find her the perfect family! To adopt Ava, please fill out an adoption application at forgottendogs.org/adoption_application or emil info.5thward@gmail.com Thanks! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mastiff in Texas
Mastiff Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Old English Mastiff is a massive breed. Mastiffs are very gentle toward their families. This is an intelligent, protective breed that makes a good guard dog but is unlikely to attack unless severely provoked. Mastiffs behave well with children but should be watched with little ones because of their large size. Mastiffs need gentle training and socialization from an early age. Mastiffs can live in an apartment or a home with a small yard.
