     I would like to thank Jeff Gold for founding Rescue Me! Thanks to Rescue Me! we were able to find a home for the two dogs that were dumped out by us. We live close to the Everglades in South Florida so it is quite common to have dogs dropped off here. In the past it has been left up to the county to pick up the stray animals (usually not in good shape by that time) so it was with great joy that we were able to find a home for the two dogs that came our way. I was amazed at how quickly I received calls from people looking to give these animals a home. Now what we need is a site to find the people that treat the animals this way. I am recommending this site to other people that find themselves in the same situation.

     I posted Johnny & June on Rescue Me!, two mastiff mix pups I had rescued. I had several people inquire and was able to place them both with a fabulous couple. They lived near enough we each drove halfway and met up to exchange the pups. These two were dropped in our small rural town and faced being shot if homes weren't found for them. 'Rescue Me!' literally meant these two beautiful pups not only getting a home, but also being allowed to 'live' as well. Thank you, Jeff.

     After a tough decision to adopt out our mastiff, we finally found him a great home! We had several calls and emails about our big boy and when Steve showed up and Cruz instantly started playing with him and warmed up to him, we knew this was the forever home he deserved. He was not normally so friendly with strangers and jumped into Steve's truck and away he went... Although sad, we knew it was best! Steve later texted that he really already loved Cruz and had spent a lot of time with him. He has a great fenced yard and 2 doggie 'brothers' now.      We recently adopted Mac an 8 year old non neutered male. When we brought him home he was dominant over my other 2 neutered males. We were ready to give him away. We had Mac neutered and what a difference it has made. He is getting along just fine and we will keep him in his forever home. My advice to others who adopt, give the new dog a chance to adjust and do all you can to make it work. We did and everything is great.

     Our beloved Blake was adopted by a caring and understanding dog lover in Florida. We were fortunate enough to receive several responses for Blake.      My husband and I are losing our home and can not find a place to live that will accept large dogs. I found this wonderful website and posted my bio & picture of Honey. Not two hours later I received a phone call from a woman who lived in Orlando. She has been a vet tech for twelve years and her & her husband were looking for a mastiff and fell in love with Honey. We set up a time for them to meet Honey. The meeting went very well and they took Honey home. This has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life. Without this website I would not have been able to locate loving people that will provide Honey with a loving home an excellent care. I can take comfort in that and am very grateful!

     Thank you Rescue Me! My home recently sold at auction and I am not able to take my two Mastiffs to a rental property. In fact, I will be relocating in less than two weeks and really in a tough situation with having to find homes for my babies. I googled your site just today and posted both my Mastiffs and within an hour received an email with an interested family. The family has a 4 month old English Mastiff puppy and wanted an older companion for her. They came to meet Nala and introduce their puppy and the rest is history. I'm very sad to have had to give up my dog, but I am at peace that she went to a loving home that understands this type of breed. What a wonderful site. I'm so thankful!

     I found RescueMe.Org by searching for Mastiff rescues online and I could not be happier. I posted Boo on a Thursday and I had three responses by noon on Friday and five more by the start of the next week. The first couple that came to see her loved her and she felt the same way about them. Boo is happy in her new home getting all the love she deserves and my heart is eased knowing she is happy again. I think this is a great program and I will definitely check here first when we are in a position to welcome another pet again.

     Hi Jeff, Bella was adopted officially today. Within minutes of posting Bella (even w/o a picture) I had inquiries via phone and email. I met a lot of interested people and we discussed their living and family situations vs. what Bella's needs were. I was very up front about Bella's needs with everyone and definitely did not want them to get into a situation where she was shuffled around again. I was slightly pressed for time because Bella was a rescue I had taken in against my lease. She needed care and love... even if I had a terribly small home. Ro, from Masthaven contacted me when he saw that Bella had been on the website for a little while. After working with him and sending him pictures he told me that she was in fact not a mastiff but a Cane Corso. I just recently learned what that even was. He was still very helpful, educational, and really cared about what happened to Bella. He reached out to a rescue for Cane Corso. That weekend, I was told that I had to find Bella a home or I would be in violation of my lease. Plus it was apparent to me after educating myself on the Cane Corso breed and her behavior that my small living space was not healthy for Bella. I reluctantly had to take Bella to our local Animal Control shelter. I admitted her as a stray which places a 3 business day hold on her from being adopted. That gave me time to continue to work with the rescue. I was willing to adopt her back once the hold was up. Yesterday, I received a phone call from a lady named Sue that seen the posting for Bella on your website. We talked about Bella in length and I told her the whole story. She went out to the shelter today and met Bella; fell in love... and prepaid to adopt her. She can pick her up tomorrow. She has the perfect set up, time, and experience to handle Bella. I think Bella is really going to be happy and settle into her new home and that's all I ever wanted her to have... something I wouldn't have been able to do if I hadn't found your website.      You site, and service was wonderful, very user friendly, and Heaven forbid, I should ever have to use a service like that again, I would use yours in a heartbeat. As far as I know, Cara has NOT found her forever home yet, but due to extenuating circumstances (the death of my mother due to cancer, and recently finding out I was expecting my 2nd child) I had to turn her over to an immediate foster care family. I could not afford anymore training, did not have the time to devote to more training (with moms treatments and such) and our resident pit bull and her could not get along, , I had to relinquish her. She is now with Seattle purebred Rescue (only because they had a breed rep who could take her immediately). i did not want my 4 year old around two powerful dog aggressive pets. Me taking her off your site was nothing to do with the service you provide, and I want to thank you, for helping people find good homes for their beloved pets. Craigslist and such is SO scary, especially with re-homing dogs like mastiffs or pit bulls. Thank you again for the service you provide, and my you continue to keep doing work on the behalf of our four-legged family members :) - Ginni

     Good morning Jeff, Thank you for the follow up. Yes Kitty was adopted by the first family to contact us. We were contacted by 4 families with in just a few days of posting Kitty. I stumbled onto RescueMe.org by happenstance. It is a WONDERFUL page and so very easy to use. I have even suggested it's use to a few of the local rescues. The adoptive family did make a rescue donation to me and I will be splitting that between your organization and another rescue that was helping us to place Kitty. I have marked your page on Facebook so it can be referred to easily. I live on a farm so pets are always finding their way to us, not to mention people gravitate to me to help in re-homing their pets or animals they have found. My biggest concern where abusers, puppy mills, etc. Your site helped me ease the anxiety, I don't know if here and there a bad seed might seep through but I thank you for this amazing site and the family that so lovingly took him home. As I said I didn't want to give him up, and no money was involved because I don't sell family members so it was an amazing woman taking my baby and loving him, with an open invite to visit when we want.      Red was called on by several people but because of his size and age most were not interested although he had only one bad habit :) chewing everything in site lol. He was finally adopted by a guy in Montana it was an expensive trip to take him from AR to WY (he met me half way to get him) but worth it to know he wouldn't be in harms way and would have a great life in the mountains. SO Red is currently running 1000s of acres of federal land with a reclusive sole who loves big dogs. Alicia

     I can't begin to tell you how happy we are to have invited 'Maximus,' actually now 'Tebow' (since nobody, including him was certain what his name originally was) into our home. He learned his new name in less than a day, immediately (being 6 months old himself @ 80lbs) became best friends with our (much smaller) 7 month old blue nose puppy, and being the same sort of 'gentle giant' as my previous Mastiff, has become our new big 'ol cuddly lap hound.      Parting with Wally and MarmaDuke has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. There were several inquiries, but I wanted to keep them together if at all possible. Because of the Mastiff Rescue, my boys found a home with two little girls, previous mastiff owners. They willingly got into their new owners vehicle to go to their new home. They have promised to send pictures. My boys will love and be loved, which is what I wanted for them. While this is a good placement for them, I will mourn the loss of them for a long time.      Rocky was placed in a new home today. His new owner's contacted me within hours of him being posted on the site. I did have several people contact me about adopting him. I took advice that was posted on the site and screened each family to find the best fit. Rocky will be a great addition to the family that has adopted him. They were willing and eager to take on the responsibilities associated with a x-large breed dog. They agreed to continue to provide him with pet insurance so that his health related expenses would not become too burdensome. We each agreed that splitting the drive and meeting at an off leash dog park to make the exchange would be easiest. His new home is approx. 5 hours away. I've just gotten word that he arrived at his new home safely and enjoyed his dinner. Rescue me is a wonderful site. The caliber of people that use the site had an understanding that a dog may live outside but a pet belongs inside with his family.
